- The most attractive and best storage place is the hat box. Stabilize the headboard with tissue paper and place the hat on a cone or a firm cardboard roll so that the edge hangs freely. Don’t forget moth paper.
- Wet hats made of felt, fur, leather or fabric shall dry at room temperature. Never store hats on the rear window shelf in the car, straw will become brittle, felt will shrink and both will lose colour.
- Gently brush soiled felt hats with a clothes brush, remove dust with a dust roller.
- Sweat stained inner liners shall be cleaned or replaced by a hat shop.
- Never dry clean hats and caps. Fine materials require gentle treatment.
